Shipping, Returns & Contact

Every piece we sell is second-hand and one of one. There is only one of each, in the size and condition shown, and once it goes it does not come back. Please read below for more information on our terms and policies.

How we grade condition

Every piece in our shop is described within one of five grades. We carefully evaluate each item’s condition and use this grading system to give you a better idea of the item’s condition aside from the listing images.

New
Deadstock. New/Never worn. Tags may or may not still be attached.
Like new
Worn, but with no flaws or signs of wear visible.
Used
Light wear consistent with the age of the piece. Nothing that draws the eye.
Worn
Visible wear, fading, or a small flaw. Always named and photographed in the listing.
Well worn
Heavily worn. Repairs, holes, or serious fading, all shown in the photos.

Our pieces can be decades old. Some wear is part of what they are rather than a defect, and “well worn” does not mean the item is defective, beat-up Kapital is often the point. If something is repaired, distressed by design, or flawed in a way that matters, it is described on the product page and photographed.

Measurements

Sizing on archive Japanese labels can be inaccurate or differ from what you’re used to, so go by the measurements rather than the tag. All of our posted measurements are taken with the item laid flat, in inches.

If the measurements you need are not listed, do not hesitate to ask before buying. We will measure the garment and send them over the same day if possible.

Shipping

Orders are packed and sent within 1–3 business days. You will get a tracking number as soon as the label is made and we will notify you once your order has been shipped.

We ship within the United States and internationally. Until card checkout is live, orders are arranged over email or Instagram and we quote shipping with the total before you pay. International orders may attract customs duties or import fees on arrival, those are set by your country and are the buyer’s responsibility so please keep in mind.

Returns

If a piece arrives and it is not what was described, such as a flaw we missed, measurements that do not match, or the wrong item, please message us within 3 days of delivery and we will make it right with a full refund if the mistake was on our end.

Other than those exceptions, all sales are final. These are one-of-one archive pieces which we are not guaranteed to come across again, and the price reflects that. Please use the measurements and ask questions before buying, we are always happy to answer questions or concerns anytime.

Returns accepted under the above terms are refunded by the same route you paid, only once the piece is back with us in the same condition it was sent.

Offers

Every piece in our shop is open to offers. Send one through email or Instagram, whichever is easier for you. We are always willing to hear an offer.

Contact

Two people run this (Marcela & Andrew), so you will always be talking to either one of us. We answer within a day, usually a lot faster.
